Patent Landscapes
The first four technology landscapes, describing key areas of plant biotechnology and the patent claims surrounding them, were created in 2000-2004 with funding to CAMBIA from the Rockefeller Foundation. Technology landscapes inherently are limited in scope and go out of date, so in 2005 we made all of ours interactive and updatable by users, and fully navigable, thanks in part to funding from BusinessACT. Many of the pages have been updated in 2005-2007, and more updating continues with user input--please feel free to contribute in the comments space provided on each page.
New landscapes are continually being developed thanks in part to funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made available in a collaboration with the International Rice Research Institute. Recent work on the Patent Sequence server, and landscapes in Health and Medicine are made possible by grants from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and PATH Vaccine Solutions.
